Possible Episode!

Had a great meeting with Mike Fedele in Stamford, CT last week...

He's the former Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut, under Jodi Rell.

He founded, and is the CEO, of The Pinnacle Group, an international IT firm with clients such as IBM and Hewlett-Packard.

We found him through Rob Simmons, the former U.S. Congressman, also from Connecticut.

Mike is a native Italian, having come to the U.S. as a child from Minturno in Southern Italy near Naples.

He is a wine lover and has a vinyard/winery in Carlsbad, near San Diego.

He has expressed an interest in BTS and is currently screening the pilot.  He is very busy with his company at the moment but assured us that he'd be back to us soon.  He seemed very interested...

His story is a perfect match for BTS.  It fits the profile of someone with a passion...for family, work, life...and wine!

We hope he'll join us as either as an investor or as the subject of an episode or both.  He could help us reach our immediate goal of producing 5 more episodes per the advice we got when we went to Cannes in 2010.  That will make us much more viable to networks and distributors.

Here's hopin'...!

Stay tuned...

YouTube

It's been almost a year since our last post. Sorry about that but we've been busy here with fundraising for future episodes (let us know if you know anybody who might be interested in becoming an investor...)

Anyway...we would like to invite you to check out "Behind The Seeds" on YouTube:

http://youtu.be/YjZh8zuoCa0

We've pushed a clip up to see what sort of response we get. If it's good then we are going to release the pilot to the general public for a, yet to be determined, price.

Let us know your thoughts...either here or by email @ behindtheseeds@gmail.com

Thanks, as always, for all of your support!

Duly Noted!

We have been invited to present the pilot episode of BTS at a prestigious film festival in France in June!

We will be one of the juried entries in the 18th Annual "OENOVIDEO" - Le Festival International des Films Documentaires sur la Vigne et du Vin. The Festival takes place from June 2nd to the 5th, 2011, in Arbois which is in Central France not too far from Dijon. (http://www.oenovideo.oeno.tm.fr)

We certainly invite any and all of our friends to attend the Festival and we will post the results here.

Here's hoping for a great turnout and a positive reception!

Can anyone say "Palme d'Or...?"

Money Makes the World Go 'Round

So...here we are in 2011.

What a wonderful life we lead!

And...we are, again, in fundrasing mode.

This time for two things...

We need to raise some capital to attend the MIP show again in Cannes in April. We had very good response when we screened BTS lasts year and would like to follow up. Building relationship is what it's all about in the TV world and if we could get back there we could capitalize (no pun intended...or maybe it is...hmmmmmmm...)on the contacts we made (at The National Geographic Channel, Shine International/NBC, TLC, etc.) We would need about $5,000.

We also need to raise some money to pay the entry fee to show the pilot at the 18th annual "OENOVIDEO" - The International Grape and Wine Film Festival in June in Arbois, France. They have invited us to submit but for a fee. It would be great PR and, if we do well, we could use that as leverage in trying to sell the program.
We need about $2,500.

Any and all contributions will be accepted and appreciated. Each increment of $2,500buys a point in the show...a percentage point of net profits from the sale and/or distribution of BTS going forward in perpetuity.

Thanks for your support...!

Happy New Year from BTS!!

You Never Know

Our producer, Mia Wood, had a very good meeting with a VC in New York last week and he is very interested in BTS. We hope to raise some money to be able to produce more content ahead of the possibility of going back to Cannes in April. Several entities expressed an interest in BTS but we didn't have enough episodes to be viable at the moment. People universally liked the program so we are trying to get the capital to create more shows. Any help, in any form, would be greatly appreciated!

Heard back from an Internet portal in Chicago who screened us at Cannes and she's looking at buying the pilot...fingers crossed!

All for now...hoping that '11 will be as creative and optimistic as '10 was!

Happy Holidays from all of us at Behind The Seeds!

BTS-A-THON

So...the feedback we've been getting is that BTS is very good and that if we had more episodes folks like the National Geographic Channel and Shine International (NBC) might be interested in buying us...

With that in mind we are busy looking at how we can produce more content. We have some great ideas such as counterfeit wine, a little vineyard in Chinon which is the lifelong dream of the woman who owns it, the originator of bio-dynamic wine growing in Vouvray and a virtual vineyard in Carneros.

Therefore, this is a general appeal (unfortunately there are no coffee mugs or tote bags to give away...)to anyone...either you or someone you know...who might be interested in the possibility of investing in the program.

Let us know!!

Thanks...

We promise that, if we get picked up, we'll retroactively award the abovementioned mugs and totes...
